Learn where yoga comes from, its basic texts, its original connection to Hinduism/Buddhism and how it came to the west.
OCT. 5 - Yoga for a Healthy Spine #418910-1
A strong and supple spine is important to our general well-being and is helpful to deepening one’s yoga practice (some of our central energy channels and centers are located in or near the spine). We’ll cover the most common yoga poses paying attention to spinal alignment and develop a toolbox of spinal movements that soften and/or energize each part of the spine. OCT. 12 - How to Use Props #418911-1
Many people assume the use of props in yoga is a sign of a beginner. Not true! Props are utilized to help create correct angles and rotation so that poses are done correctly and to help you open into poses in restorative and gentle ways.
We’ll work with straps, blocks, blankets, bolsters, the wall and chairs.

We’ll discuss how to take your yoga “on the road” and personalize it depending on your mood and energy levels, your health status, time of day and season. We’ll also talk about the benefits of working with a certified yoga personal trainer.
