 TAAP LogoTAAP 3-D PROJECT MISSION
The City of Loveland Art in Public Places Program seeks sculptures to be placed in Downtown Loveland as part of The Art Advocacy Project (TAAP). Colorado sculptors are encouraged to be a part of this one-year sculpture exhibition scheduled from June 2016-June 2017. Selected artists will be awarded an honorarium of $1,000. The installed artwork may be available for sale. Since 2009, three sculptures featured during The Art Advocacy Project were purchased for the City’s permanent art collection. THE DEAD-LINE FOR SUBMISSION IS APRIL 29, 2016 at 5 pm.

Project Timeline

Call for Entry distributed March 21, 2016 – April 29, 2016
Deadline for submitting: Friday, April 29, 2016 at 5:00 p.m.
Artwork on display: June 2016– June 2017
Jury Panel to Review the Artwork: early May
Artists enter into City Contract by mid May
Artwork Installed: early June 2016 (TBD)

HOW TO APPLY:
Application Requirements
Open to all Northern Colorado artists of three-dimensional media.
Artists will be compensated with an honorarium of $1,000.00
All artists must submit a complete application by the specified deadline.
Submission details: Artists must be Colorado residents and own the rights to the artwork. The sculpture must be available for the duration of the one-year contract. All submissions must be professionally constructed of durable materials which will withstand the elements. All durable outdoor media are encouraged. Please attach three images per submission that clearly show a front and back view, and one detail shot. Artists may submit up to 2 sculptures for consideration, but each submission must have three images specified. Please give all dimensions and a stated insurance value for the artwork. There are presently no restrictions on size; however, artists should be aware that sculptures will be placed within a well-traveled shopping/gallery streetscape on a 3 ½’ x 3 ½’ plinth. The installation method for each sculpture should be welded tabs or similar easy-install method.
