Loveland, Colorado – Loveland Water and Power will perform a planned outage in the Big Thompson Canyon on Tuesday, February 28th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. If the weather prohibits the work on Tuesday, the outage will be rescheduled for the following Thursday, March 2nd.  If weather prohibits the work for both days, a new outage notification will follow.

The outage will affect customers west of Viestenz-Smith Park including Drake, Waltonia, County Road 43, Idylwild Lane and the Big Thompson Canyon Fire Station.

As we continue to rebuild our infrastructure in the canyon, it is necessary to perform occasional power outages to allow crews to make system improvements and move power lines during the canyon rebuild by the Colorado Department of Transportation.

If you have questions or concerns about the outage, please contact Water and Power Dispatch at (970) 962-3581.
