This is your river

A river runs through every Front Range city. In fact, rivers are the reasons those cities originated and grew.
Fort Collins straddles the banks of the Poudre River. Longmont’s St. Vrain Creek bisects the city. Boulder Creek, likewise, in the city of the same name. Loveland has the Big Thompson River, a community asset that is often overlooked – literally – as we pass over bridges on every major north-south street.
The City of Loveland this summer and fall will craft the Big Thompson Corridor Master Plan, a science-based but community-driven examination of ways to make the Big Thompson better in every way. While part of the effort is directed at making the river more resilient in cases of future floods, planners will consider recreation, natural beauty, wildlife habitat and other factors as they seek ways to improve our river.
Your input is crucial.
