Traffic in the Big Thompson Canyon will be reduced to one lane each way for six weeks to replace power poles.

Weather permitting, lane closures will only affect traffic 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Loveland, Colorado – Traffic in the Big Thompson Canyon will be reduced to one lane each way for six weeks while Loveland Water and Power contractors replace power poles along the road between mile markers 79 and 80 near Viestenz-Smith Mountain Park.

Power Contracting will begin replacing the poles Wednesday, March 6. Weather permitting, lane closures will only affect traffic 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
