LOVELAND, CO – July 9, 2019 – Summer is here, which means it’s time to get out and explore the great things happening at your local parks and recreation centers. This July, join in on the fun and games offered by local parks and recreation with City of Loveland Parks & Recreation as they celebrate Park and Recreation Month. A variety of fun activities are planned for residents of all ages and abilities — including Movies in the Park, the Loveland Farmers Market and the One Sweet Summer (OSS) series at the Foundry.
City of Loveland Parks & Recreation is celebrating Park and Recreation Month, an initiative of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), by inviting you to get in the game. With everything from Yoga & Brunch at AKA Kitchen to Games on the Range at Mariana Butte golf course, there are plenty of ways that you can celebrate with us!
“Community is what we’re all about, and we want residents of and visitors to Loveland to explore all that Parks & Recreation has to offer. July is one of the best times to do so.” said Maria Thomas, marketing coordinator for Parks & Recreation.
City of Loveland Parks & Recreation will celebrate Park and Recreation Month through a variety of activities, including free fitness classes at the new outdoor Fitness Court® at Fairgrounds Park, free hikes and activities on Loveland open lands and trails, and fresh finds at the farmers market.
NRPA encourages people who support parks and recreation to share why they think it’s important with the hashtag #GameOnJuly.
