New Honey Festival Event at the City of Loveland Farmers Market

honey dripping from wooden spoolLoveland, CO – The City of Loveland Farmers Market has grown into one of the top markets in Colorado. Organizers are excited to announce a honey festival this fall as part of its continued growth. The Honey Festival is this Sunday, September 8 at Fairgrounds Park (700 S. Railroad Ave.) in conjunction with the farmers market. The Festival runs from 9:00 a.m to 1:30 p.m. It will feature honey products from several vendors, mead, a demonstration hive provided by the Northern Colorado Beekeepers Association, information about healing with honey, a cooking with honey demonstration (10:00 a.m.) and a number of children’s activities. 

The City of Loveland Mobile Recreation Trailer will be onsite to provide games, and Loveland Public Library will be hosting a Teddy Bear Tea Party, so don’t forget your favorite teddy. Wooden Mountain Bouldering Gym will have a climbing wall onsite, RJ’s Amazing Entertainment is bringing a balloon twister, and make sure to check out the bee-themed photo booth and “B” Sweet Cupcakes with special bee-themed treats.   

There is no cost to get into the event, but make sure you bring your spending money. Many of the regular farmers market vendors are bringing special products this weekend to join the festivities. Turtle Mountain Fermentery will be featuring their Ambrosia Kombucha with a pomegranate and honey infusion.  

This event is supported by a number of local sponsors including: Adventure Vision and Dental, Tutoring Excellence, 4Rivers Equipment, Taspen’s Organics, Mother Earth Academy, Lost Scout Mead and Dragon Meadery. 

About City of Loveland Farmers Market: The City of Loveland Farmers Market is on Sundays from late June through September. Each week, over 50 vendors participate to sell a variety of produce, microgreens, baked goods, lavender, salsa and more.  In addition, there is live music, food trucks and a 9:00 a.m. yoga class by the river each weekend along with a monthly Artist Market and Beer Gardens.
