Building affordable housing, and keeping it affordable for future residents, has emerged as a prime priority for the City of Loveland.
Builders, bankers, real estate brokers – plus affordable homeowners and potential buyers – will benefit from this 90-minute workshop:
WHAT: City of Loveland Affordable Homeowner Program
WHEN: 9-10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20
WHERE: Civic Center City Council Chamber, 500 E. Third St.
The staff of the City’s Community Partnership Office and Assistant City Attorney Claire Havelda will walk attendees through the details of Loveland’s affordable housing program, emphasizing the qualification processes for builders and buyers and describing guidelines that govern deed restrictions that ensure future affordability.
“We know that the appetite and need for affordable housing in our community are growing fast,” Community Partnership Office Manager Alison Hade said. “We invite anyone with an interest in affordable housing to take this great opportunity to have the process de-mystified and learn how we can move together toward solutions.”
Havelda will apply her extensive legal experience in affordable housing issues in explaining the processes related to affordable housing construction and purchase, and the ways deed restrictions work to preserve affordability.
