how to recycle your Christmas tree in Loveland

Did you know recycling your Christmas tree helps us create mulch for use in Loveland parks? Tree recycling is easy and also reduces landfill waste.

Here's what you need to know to recycle your tree:

Remove all ornaments, tinsel, lights, nails, screws, wire, tree stands and bags.

Drop off your decoration-free tree at one of the following Loveland park locations:

South Loveland: Centennial Park - W. First and Taft Ave. (in the parking lot north of First St., just west of Swift Field)

North Loveland: Kroh Park - North Highway 287 and 52nd St. (adjacent to the Habitat for Humanity location)

West Loveland: Loveland Recycling Center* - off of First St. & Wilson Ave.

*Residents must provide a current Yard Waste Debris Permit in order to dispose of their Christmas tree for free at the Recycling Center.

The Recycling Center is CLOSED on Mondays, on Christmas Day, Dec. 25 and New Year's Day, Jan. 1, 2020. Regular hours are Tuesday-Sunday, 7:30A - 4:30P

Drop-off sites are open daily from sun-up until sun-down between Dec. 21, 2019 and Jan. 31, 2020.

Signs will direct participants to appropriate drop-off areas.
