A Message from Elizabeth Kayl, Director, City of Loveland Parks & Recreation

Mehaffey Park in LovelandBeing outdoors and staying physically active are important aspects of protecting your physical and mental health. Now, more than ever, parks and trails are playing a critical and essential role in the quality of life in our community.

We are doing our best to make sure that our Loveland parksopen spaces and trails remain open while also remaining in compliance with local, state and federal guidelines with regard to COVID-19.

We encourage you to use these public spaces to get outdoors, remain physically active and enjoy time with your family.

We ask that you please follow the CDC’s guidelines for social distancing in public parks and trails, making sure to keep six feet of distance between yourself and others and no more than 4 people in one group.

The City of Loveland is regularly monitoring public areas. To report violations call 970.498.5500.

Our dedicated parks staff are cleaning playgrounds and restrooms on a regular basis, but we need your help following our guidelines.

Enjoy Loveland’s 32 parks, 23 miles of paved recreation trail and 20 miles of soft-surface trails.

These are unprecedented times, and your Loveland Parks & Recreation Department understands that these changes affect your normal leisure routines. With that, we are dedicated to keeping outdoor spaces safe, clean and accessible. Stay safe, and be well.

Director, City of Loveland Parks & Recreation
