Candidate Forums to be broadcast on
Loveland’s Cable Channel 16

Four candidate forums, produced by the League of Women Voters of Larimer County in cooperation with Ft. Collins City Cable Channel 14, will be broadcast on City of Loveland’s Cable Channel 16 during the month of October in anticipation of the November 7 election.

These forums, which are scheduled to take place between October 4 and 16 will be taped and then broadcast on Cable Channel 16 Saturdays at 8am, Sundays at 5pm, and Wednesdays at 8pm.  The forums will be shown in the order they’re received and will be shown until the election on November 7.

The first forum will focus on Larimer County Commissioner, Assessor, and Clerk & Recorder.  Candidates for Commissioner District 1 are Kathay Rennels (Republican) and Gerry Horak (Unaffiliated).  Steve Miller (Republican), Barbara Liebler (Democrat) and Jesse Herron (Libertarian) are candidates for Assessor.  Scott Doyle (Republican) and Arthur Trevethick (Libertarian) are the candidates for Clerk & Recorder.

The second forum will focus on the races for House Districts 52 and 53.  Candidates participating include those running for House District 52, Bob McCluskey (Republican) and John Kefalas (Democrat), and those seeking the House District 53 seat, Anne Yeldell (Republican), Randy Fischer (Democrat), Darren Morrison (American Constitution Party) and Mark Brophy (Libertarian).

The third forum includes candidates for House District 49, Kevin Lundberg (Republican) and Sue Radford (Democrat), candidates for House District 51, Don Marostica (Republican) and Jodi Radke (Democrat), and lastly for Senate District 15, Steve Johnson (Republican) and Jennifer Miller (Democrat).

The final candidate event will focus on the race for the 4th Congressional District seat on the Colorado Board of Education.  Candidates Bob Schaffer (Republican) and Tom Griggs (Democrat) will answer audience questions and debate the issues.
