Economic Gardening Services Now
Available
The City of
Loveland, Loveland Center for Business Development, and Loveland Chamber
of Commerce announce the opening of Economic Gardening services to the
general business community. Staff will host the kick-off at the Lunch
and Learn session at the Loveland Chamber of Commerce, 5400 Stone Creek
Circle, at 12:30 p.m., Oct.13. The Lunch & Learn series is free of
charge to the public, reservations are not required and attendees are
encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch.
The
Loveland Economic Gardening Program is modeled after the City of
Littleton’s economic development program which has been in existence for
nearly 20 years. The title of the program, Economic Gardening, comes
from the concept of growing your businesses within the city. The
Loveland Chamber of Commerce, City of Loveland, and Loveland Center for
Business Development formed a partnership in June 2005 to
provide access to technology and business expertise for
both new and existing small businesses located within the city of
Loveland.
When
applied to individual businesses through a confidential process,
economic gardening services produce information that
provides immediate tactical & strategic help to increase sales, improve
market share and find new markets and vendors. Economic
Gardening services are intended to help local businesses answer
questions and solve problems with data, technology, and
general business management support that is typically expensive
and out of reach for most small businesses.
“The
knowledge of our economic gardening staff, and the data and technology
assembled for this service will give Loveland businesses access to a
unique new tool,” explains Gary Wilson, Community & Strategic Planning
Division Manager. “Our goal is to help local owners prosper by
providing them with information to make informed business decisions.”
Additional
opportunities for learning about and signing up for Economic Gardening
services will be available on the first Tuesday of each month at the
Loveland Chamber of Commerce from 12–1 p.m. For additional information
