Loveland power discussed on TV show
An overview of Loveland’s electric power service is offered this month
on “Loveland’s Talking” on cable TV channel 16.
Discussions with several members of the Loveland Water and Power
Department and the Platte River Power Authority provide an insight into
the city’s electrical source, distribution, reliability and future
projects. Also discussed are renewable energy sources, the impact of
demand peaks, and programs to increase electric use efficiency and save
money.
“Loveland’s Talking” is part
of channel 16’s monthly Programs of Interest (POI) segment. A related
POI presentation features an example of a
Loveland company that has recently optimized its lighting system,
American Eagle Distributing. Since installing highly-efficient
fluorescent lighting, the firm has reduced its wattage use, decreased
operating costs and increased light output resulting in warehouse safety
improvements.
“Surviving Cancer: The Courage
Muscle” is also offered this month.
Cancer is no laughing matter but a patient’s
attitude towards the disease can help them lead more fulfilling lives
and deal better with the stress and anxiety, regardless of outcome.
This edition of Boston TV’s About Health looks at how one woman
coped with her diagnosis. Author Monique Doyle Spencer wrote The
Courage Muscle: A Chicken’s Guide to Living with Cancer to help
those like herself who were dealing with cancer, another disease or
other life challenges, to face them with more courage, resolve, and
especially humor.
Programs of Interest is presented every month
on Loveland cable TV channel 16:
Mondays and Fridays at 8 a.m.
Saturdays and Sundays at 11 a.m.
Wednesdays and Sundays at 4 p.m.
