City services costing
$5.18 outlined on “Loveland’s Talking”
A look at what Loveland residents pay in city taxes and fees, and what
they get for their money is the topic for September’s “Loveland’s
Talking” TV show on cable channel 16.
The show begins by explaining that on average, Loveland city government
costs each resident about $5.18 per day. Then, guests representing
several City departments provide a quick glimpse at some of the services
the $5.18 provides.
Because of the number of services, only about half are discussed in the
September “Loveland’s Talking” show. Part 2 of the program discussing a
number of other services the $5.18 cost provides will be shown in
November.
“Loveland’s Talking” is part of the Programs of Interest segment
broadcast every month on cable channel 16. This month’s segment
includes two additional programs.
Northern Colorado is
experiencing historic surges in growth and demand for water is also
growing. To help meet the increasing demand for water while ensuring the
future of agriculture in this area, the Northern Integrated Supply
Project has come into being, a coordinated effort between 16 northern
Colorado communities and water providers. Future northern Colorado water
supply issues are discussed in a program produced by the Northern
Colorado Water Conservancy District.
Millions of American youth
use illegal drugs and sadly, many young Americans die. Programs of
Interest presents Boston TV’s About Health, “Substance Abuse: One
Family Making a Difference.” In this program, the father of a young man
who overdosed on heroin shares his family’s experience and discusses the
addiction center this family has opened where parents can get help for
their addicted children before it’s too late.
