Proposed New City Regulations!

Hearings on these items are being scheduled with the Planning Commission and the City Council.  If you have questions or comments about any of the  amendments please contact Vicki Mesa with the Current Planning Division by email at mesav@ci.loveland.co.us or by phone at 962-2523

A Community meeting to present proposed regulations for Electronic Signs was held on January 22.

These amendments are designed to update and clarify these provisions, making sure that neighboring properties are protected from unwanted impacts while providing appropriate opportunities for home-based businesses.

These proposed amendments would address quality of life issues with the community by ensuring that crematoriums are appropriately sited and regulated.

The Loveland Municipal Code does not define the use of a shelter for victims of domestic violence as a distinct use from a “Group Care Facility”, which is a use by special review in all residential zone districts.  The special review procedures require public notice, a neighborhood meeting and the possibility of a public hearing if appealed. Due to the nature of these shelters, it is important that the location be kept confidential for security purposes.
