Director of Water and Power Vacancy

Reporting to the City Manager, the Water and Power Director delivers leadership, managerial and administrative services associated with the delivery of essential community services provided by the operations of the Water/Wastewater, Power, Utility Accounting and Customer Relations divisions.  This position also serves as a liaison to City and community boards and commissions, committees, and task forces as assigned. The Loveland Water and Power Department’s vision is to be recognized by the community for excellence and integrity in providing long-term customer satisfaction and reliable service. The department has an adopted operating budget for 2017 of $88 million.

 Competitive candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in civil or electrical engineering, a graduate degree is preferred. A minimum of eight (8) years of experience related to engineering and/or utility field required; public sector experience preferred.  Minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience required.
