The City of Loveland Parks & Recreation Department is located in the Municipal Buildings - Annex, which houses the offices of the Department Director, Division Managers for Golf and Parks & Recreation, the Open Lands & Trails program staff, and Parks Planning staff.

The department is responsible for public recreation and park areas including development, programming and operations at the Chilson Recreation & Senior Center; Winona Pool; Viestenz-Smith Mountain Park; Cattail Creek Golf Course, The Olde Course at Loveland, and Mariana Butte golf courses; Barnes Park batting cages; Lake Loveland Swim Beach; and the Loveland Cemetery & Lakeside Burial Park. In addition, the Department is responsible for maintaining parks and public ground, open space/natural areas, park planning and the recreational trail system.
Visitors to the Administration Office can register for a class or activity, reserve a shelter for picnics, reserve athletic fields and tennis courts (when available for public use), or inquire about one of the many leisure facilities, programs, or services offered by the department.
The department offers both competitive and recreational athletic programs, including adult volleyball, basketball, softball and soccer. Organized youth sports are available in softball, football, basketball, baseball, lacrosse, inline hockey and soccer. An extensive number of recreational and instructional programs are also provided for all ages in arts & crafts, hobbies, and cultural activities.
City Ordinance for the Parks & Recreation Department Rules & Regulations
City Code Chapter 12.40 Section 12.40.010:
"Rules & Regulations. The parks and recreation department shall have the authority to establish and enforce such rules and regulations as it deems necessary pertaining to the operation of all parks and recreational facilities owned or operated by the city."
