Swim Beach Rules & Regulations
The City of Loveland Parks & Recreation Department leases the swim beach area at North Lake Park from the Lake Loveland Home Owners Association (HOA) each year. Therefore, it falls within the General Rules & Regulations for Loveland parks, with some additional limitations.
- With the lease agreement, the only area of the lake in which the public is allowed to swim is the roped off area of the Swim Beach and out to the buoys. Otherwise, home owners around Lake Loveland have strict water surface rights and boating rights on the lake…and those rights do NOT extend to the general public except through the home owners themselves.
- Children under the age of 6 must be accompanied into the water by an individual 16 years of age or older and stay within arms' reach of the child at all times.
Day Care Groups
Day care groups of over 10 participants require advanced notice. Please fill out the group attendance request form.
Dogs are allowed in the general park areas of North Lake Park and are subject to the General Rules & Regulations regarding dogs in Loveland parks. All dogs MUST remain on-leash and under human control at all times. Dogs are NOT allowed within the swim beach parameters or in the water at Lake Loveland. This is for the safety of the dogs AND the safety of all Swim Beach participants/swimmers in Lake Loveland.
