We offer week-long (Monday-Thursday 8:30-4:30) camps for your middle schooler (entering grades 6-9 in the Fall 2018).

COLORADO YOUTH ADVENTURES

(Ages 13-16)
A collaborative teen experience through the Colorado Parks and Recreation Association (CPRA) and Loveland Parks and Recreation Department. 

Rock Climbing Trip - May 12

Join us for a day of indoor rock climbing at EVO Rock + Fitness in Louisville for a fun three hours of climbing.
Bring a sack lunch of plenty of water. Meet at the Chilson Center lobby at 9:00 a.m. We'll return to the lobby at 2:30 p.m.  REGISTRATION REQUIRED Class #256027-2 Cost $30

TEEN TRIPS

APEX Movement & Movie - June 8

Test your skills at this training facility where you will learn from highly trained coaches then spend the afternoon enjoying a popular new release. $45 #356308-1

Boondocks, Food & Fun - June 15

 Spend the day with unlimited use of bowling, laser tag, go-karts, miniature golf, bumper boats and their NEW ropes course! $42 #356318-1

Boyd Lake Beach Day - June 22 

Cool off at Boyd Lake for a day of swimming and outdoor activities!

Laser Tag & Spray Ground - July 6 

This is not your average laser tag! American Paintball Coliseum offers a variety of laser tag game options from elimination to capture the flag using mock-up paintball guns as their laser tag equipment. Then, have fun at a local spray ground. $48 #356328-1

SUP Day - July 13

Beat the heat with a day spent on a stand up paddle board or in a kayak at Union Reservoir in Longmont.

Horse Trail Ride/Dao House - July 20 

Take a horseback ride through the Rocky Mountains and check out the amazing scenery. Afterwards, enjoy the many amenities that Dao House in Estes Park has to offer. $65 #356348-1

Water World - July 27

UNC Ropes Course - August 1 

Challenge yourself with an afternoon spent team building and participating in a variety of high and low ropes course elements. $45 #356368-1

End of Summer Elitch Gardens Trip - August 10 

This day trip extends the ages of our teen trips to include ages 8-16 to celebrate the end of summer 2018! Enroll your child in the section specific to where they would like to spend the entirety of the day – at the amusement park OR at the water park. Please, no duplicate enrollments and no back-and-forth between the amusement park & water park allowed. You may also choose to add-on a pre-purchased concession lunch.

MIDDLE SCHOOL CAMPS

Bon Appetit Cooking Camp - June 4-7 

Take your cooking skills to a new level! Campers will spend the week learning about signature dishes from countries around the world and compete in mini-challenges along the way. $160 #356208-1

YOLO - Two Sessions 

You only live once for a camp like this! Youth of Loveland take part in community engagement opportunities that make them an important part of something much larger than themselves. Have fun while giving back, build new friendships and take home leadership skills for the future.

Mayhem in Motion - June 18-21 

Spend the week designing, building and adding graphics to your very own cardboard car! Campers learn physics, engineering and robotics concepts toad working elements including headlights, turn signals or wheels to their vehicle. Take the entire family to the Movies in the Park presented by Kaiser Permanente where all the cars will be showcased. $140 #356228-1

ABLE to Sail Camp - June 25-28 

Learn to sail…and then some! This 4-day adventure and youth empowerment camp teaches the basic skills of sailing with a US Sailing Certifies Instructor along with the added element of shifting negative thought patterns into an empowering mindset of possibility. Transportation from the Chilson Center to Union Reservoir in Longmont included (Rain-day make up schedule for Friday 6/29). $245 #356238-1

Move Into Art - July 16-19 

Explore your creative side while touring local art studios including sculpture artist George Lundeen and watercolorist Trish Murtha. Get excited about perfecting your skills with realism & expressionism lessons with counselor Ms. Lizzy! Finish the week with a visit to the Denver Art Museum. $140 #356348-1

Junior Counselor Camp - July 30 & 31; August 2 & 3 

Junior Counselors explore leadership skills in a group setting and serve as 1-on-1 mentors for younger campers. Groups participate in team building & lesson planning and assist adult staff with the daily tasks of camp including interacting with campers, leading games and activities and serving as leaders in camp spirit and motivation. $125 #356358-1

The Golf Division offers Youth Golf Programs for those who would like to learn to golf or want to further their skills on Loveland's golf courses.

The Parks & Recreation Department also offers opportunities for kids to enjoy outdoor activities in Loveland in the numerous park locations, along the Recreation Trail, in open lands, etc.
