Pedestrian safety is top-of-mind!
Nationally, 205 people are injured or killed while walking every day! See the video below by Street Smart on the dangers of being distracted.
Using non-motorized transportation improves air quality, energy independence, health, and quality of life.
The City of Loveland encourages bicycling and walking for transportation and recreation by striving to make bicycling and walking increasingly safe, accessible, convenient, and enjoyable. Bicycle and pedestrian facilities are being expanded and improved in an effort to provide a top-notch non-motorized system.
We invite you to incorporate the beautiful Colorado outdoors into your daily routine by walking or bicycle-commuting to work, shopping, and errands. If we can improve your walking or bicycling experience please let us know. Bicycle & Pedestrian Plan
The City of Loveland's Bicycle & Pedestrian Plan is a long-term action plan to give Loveland a well balanced, well maintained transportation system. The plan establishes strategies to prioritize projects that will further enhance bike and pedestrian safety, comfort, and access in the city. Through the Bike and Pedestrian Plan, Loveland will make its transportation system more environmentally, economically, and socially sustainable.
