The City’s yard debris cart service has ended for the 2017 season, city residents with a current yard debris permit may take their leaves and other yard debris, free-of-charge, to the City’s recycling center at 400 N. Wilson Ave.
Yard debris carts may be kept during the winter months of December through March for no monthly fee. Yard debris collection will resume the week of April 2, 2018.

A 95-gallon cart is provided for weekly collection of yard debris from March to December for $8.00 per month. Please call 962-2529 to order a cart. Your collected yard debris will be composted by our private sector partner, A-1 Organics, and sold as a high-quality soil amendment.
The following items can be placed in your green yard debris cart:
- Grass clippings
- Garden trimmings
- Twigs (cut to fit into cart)
Please do not include:
- Pet Waste
- Plastic bags
- Trash, rocks or metal
- Ashes (hot or cold)
- Oversized logs, stumps or lumber
Sod is acceptable in small quantities. Carts can be no more than 1/4 full and all dirt must be removed. Your loaded cart must weigh less than 250 pounds and the lid must close.
Shredded Paper - is compostable and can be placed into your yard waste cart. Please be sure to put grass clippings on top of the paper to keep it from blowing when emptied.
