The Youth Advisory Commission meets the first Wednesday of every month at 5 p.m. at the Loveland Public Library, 300 N. Adams Ave.
The Youth Advisory Commission (YAC) serves as a link between the City Council and the youth of Loveland to identify issues pertaining to youth, communicate the concerns of youth to the City Council, and suggest possible action to be taken. The Commission takes direct action by working with the City Council to suggest action items for the Council agenda, proposing City programs, activities, ordinances, amendments and advocating for youth interests.
YAC invites you to join them on their bus adventure!
The Youth Advisory Commission embarked on a bus adventure last fall when they set out to learn about the City of Loveland Transit System (COLT), with the goal of making Loveland's public transit system more efficient, effective and user-friendly for kids and adults alike.
Through these efforts YAC has confirmed that public transit is an important transportation option because it provides personal freedom and mobility for residents who would otherwise have few available means for getting around.
To further their research, YAC has developed a brief, 5-question survey to gain information from Loveland residents about their awareness of, and experiences with COLT and they need your help!
Please take a few minutes to take their brief survey. Your participation will help YAC better understand who rides COLT, who doesn't, and why.
The committee will use that information to create strategies for improving the system for the benefit of all Loveland riders, the community at-large, and Northern Colorado's growing transit system.
To take the survey go to the City's online public forum, Open City Hall. The survey will be available through Feb. 2, 2018.
