IMPORTANT INFORMATION for DDA "Qualified Electors"
On November 7, 2017, the City of Loveland participated in the Larimer County election. In addition to other municipal matters including City Council and Mayoral elections, the City placed a question on the ballot providing for the DDA to issue bonds to finance costs of downtown development and redevelopment projects.
For purposes of this DDA Election, a Qualified Elector is defined as follows:
- Resident, Landowner, or Lessee. These terms are further defined in 31-25-802 ((6),(6.2) and (10) C.R.S.
- Residents must be over the age of 18 and a citizen of the United States of America
- Landowners or Lessees which are not a natural person may vote only if it designates a representative to cast its ballot, that is a natural person, who is over the age of 18 and is a citizen of the United States of America
Please Note: If you are already registered to vote in Larimer County and reside or own property within the DDA boundaries, you DO NOT need to complete the following form. The DDA ballot question will be on your ballot or on a separate ballot, that will be mailed to you.
WARNING: 31-25-802 (9) PROVIDES THAT EVEN THOUGH ANY PERSON QUALIFIED OR LAWFULLY DESIGNATED MAY BE ENTITLED TO CAST THE VOTE OF MORE THAN ONE QUALIFIED ELECTOR, A NATURAL PERSON MAY ONLY CAST ONE VOTE.
