In response to COVID-19, Loveland Municipal Court has taken appropriate measures to ensure your health and safety.  Please be prepared to wear a protective face mask that covers your nose and mouth while you are inside and outside the courtroom.  If you do not have your own mask, one will be available when you arrive.  You will also be required to practice 6’ social distancing inside and outside the courtroom. Anyone who is experiencing or appears to be experiencing a fever, sneezing, cough, shortness of breath or other respiratory illness will not be permitted to enter the courtroom. 

The Municipal Court will be closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day.

In addition, the Municipal Court will be closed for furlough days on the following:  July 6; August 21; September 18; October 23; and November 13th.

The Mission of Loveland Municipal Court is to provide due process and justice in a fair, impartial and efficient manner to our residents, visitors and employees.  The Municipal Court Team is committed to practicing the City of Loveland's core values by providing respectful, kind, and professional service to everyone.

Who We Are

The Municipal Court’s authority and responsibility is established by the Home Rule Charter and State law.  The Court is a court of record with limited jurisdiction that adjudicates and processes alleged traffic offenses and violations of the Loveland Municipal Code and the Loveland City Charter.

If you received a "pink" Summons & Complaint (ticket) or a white E-ticket, then your case is in Loveland Municipal Court on the 2nd floor of the Loveland Police & Courts Building.  If you received a "blue"  ticket, then your case is in Larimer County Court on the 1st floor of the Loveland Police & Courts Building.  Please check your ticket to confirm which court you should appear in.

    Business Hours: Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. - 4:45 p.m. excluding holidays and occasional closures for court-related events; closure information will be updated here on our website.

    Methods of Payment: We accept checks, cash, money orders, or debit/credit cards with a photo ID by mail, in-person and by phone.  Unfortunately, we are currently unable to accept payments online at this time.
