10th Annual Battle of the Bands presented by the

Loveland Museum/Gallery will showcase young talent

 

Loveland, CO— The Loveland Museum/Gallery will hold its 10th Annual Battle of the Bands competition Wednesday, July 22 at the Hammond Amphitheater in Loveland’s North Lake Park. Set times will be between 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm and will feature 12 young bands from Loveland, Berthoud, Windsor, and Cheyenne, WY.  

The Battle is for teen bands with a majority of the competing band members under the age of 20. A judging panel of local music-industry amateurs and professionals will evaluate performances based on music, stage performance and other criteria. Bands will each have 20-minute sets to perform.

 

The lineup includes:

 

3:00      Hurricane (Loveland)

3:30      Toaster Schnooble (Loveland)

4:00      The One Armed Robbery (Loveland)

4:30      Descant (Berthoud)

5:00      Amongst Steel Clouds (Berthoud)

5:30      Another Kind of Magick (Cheyenne, WY)

6:00      The TV Says (Loveland)

6:30      Dublin Luck (Loveland)

7:00      1 and Ř (Windsor)

7:30      Painted Trees (Loveland)

8:00      Dr. B (Loveland)

8:30      Bad Intentions (Loveland)

 

The first place band will receive a prize package valued at about $700 that includes studio recording time from Clear Gravy Productions (Frederick, CO). The second place prize package has an approximate value of $500 and is sponsored by KepTone Music Workshop (Loveland, CO). The third place prize package is sponsored by Hapi Skratch Entertainment (Loveland) and is valued at $300.

Sponsors for the 10th Annual Battle of the Bands include the Loveland Museum/Gallery, City of Loveland, Clear Gravy Productions, Hapi Skratch Entertainment, KepTone Music Workshop and Chick-fil-A. Sound services for the event are provided by David Sampson (Loveland, CO).

 

Admission to watch the competition is FREE and open to all. Spectators are welcome to bring their own chairs and/or food and beverages. Please note that alcohol and glass are not allowed in North Lake Park.
