Welcome to Chilson Recreation Center Child Care. We take great pride in offering child care services, while you enjoy the variety of facilities and programs available at the Chilson Center.

Hours:
Monday-Thursday:  9:00am-1:30pm & 4:00pm-8:00pm
Friday: 9:00am-1:30pm
Saturday: (ONLY November-April) 9:00am-12:00pm


Fees:
$1.50 per child/per visit
$15.00 for a 10-Visit Punch Card

Age Requirements: 
Minimum: 3 months
Maximum: 8 years
Reservations are required for infants 3 - 7 months.

Time Limit: 
Each child or infant is allowed up to two hours per day. Parents need to be using the facility and must remain inside the Chilson Center at all times in case of an emergency.

Sign In: 
Parents are required to sign children in and out at each visit. Children will only be released to the parent/legal guardian listed on the sign-in sheet.

Label Belongings: 
Please be advised to label all personal belongings.

Shoes: 
Shoes are required for children 7 months through 8 years while using the child care room. Infants 3 - 6 months require socks or booties.

Personal Items: 
Please note that items brought from home such as movies, stuffed animals, dolls, and any personal toys will not be allowed in child care.

Food/Drinks: 
Bottles and non-spilling sippy cups are allowed for children up to 2 years of age. Milk, formula, and clear or yellow (such as apple or pear) juice is allowed. No dark colored juices, soda pop, or Kool-Aid is allowed in the child care room. Children over the age of 2 will have access to drinking water while in child care. Food is not allowed in the child care room.

Diapers/Clothing: 
We ask that disposable diapers be used for sanitary and health reasons. You must provide your own diapers and diaper wipes. Children wearing diapers must have clothing over them.

Special Needs: 
Please inform the staff of any special medical conditions, handicaps, or disabilities your child has so that we may provide your child with the very best care possible.

Paging Parents: 
Occasionally, children may require individual or parental attention. The staff will attempt to comfort or discipline children for a maximum of fifteen minutes. After that time, parents will be paged to retrieve their child.

Storing items: 
Due to safety policies and limited space in the child care room, we cannot store car seats, strollers, child carriers, or similar equipment during your use of the Chilson Center. Please store these items in your vehicle.

Emergencies: 
In case of an emergency evacuation such as a fire, parents should NOT go to the child care room. Please use the nearest exit, and meet your child at the East parking lot by the fence, along the sidewalk.
