The City of Loveland Parks & Recreation Department maintains trees, grass, and other plants or flowers within the City parks, and in some of the greenbelts along City streets.
Other greenbelts are maintained by the Water & Power/Streets Departments. To determine which greenbelts are maintained by a specific Department, please contact that department directly.

Spring & Summer Planting Information-
The City of Loveland has an extensive Spring planting schedule, and many new flowers, trees, and shrubs are added to the landscapes in and around public places.
Please follow the guidelines available to you below for further details on planting in your own garden or landscaping in your neighborhood:

Specific to Trees-
Trees require maintenance year-round, especially in Colorado's climates, and in abnormally dry conditions or droughts. With this in mind, we would like to give you some basic guidelines for tree watering and care.

Specific to Flowers & Plants-
Our City's parks have great displays of different types of flowers and plants usually located in or near the areas where the sign pad depicts the park's name, or in sculpture and display areas. Please visit the parks and take a look at the great flower beds and plantings!

The flowers and plants in City parks are planted and maintained by park workers, and are also planted each year with help from our community!  If you would like to volunteer services for planting flowers and plants in the parks and public areas, please contact us through the City Volunteer Coordinator: (970)962-2675

We suggest that people do not use too many plants that require a large amount of water when planning their landscaping or planting their gardens.
