Our regular collection schedule is Monday through Thursday, beginning at 7:00 a.m.  The city is divided into four sections, with one section being collected each day.  Trash, recyclables and yard debris are all collected on the same day, with recyclables collected every other week.

To determine your collection day, visit the City of Loveland  Digital Tour.

  • Enter your address in the box provided, and click "Submit."

  • When the map appears with the submitted location highlighted, click on "Create Report." This
button is on the left side of the page.

  • The report will appear in a new window.  Scroll below the image to find out your
    collection day.

Holidays may result in delayed collection.  Click here to see the holiday collection schedule.

Do you have a missed collection?  Please call us at 962-2529.

Bag up your trash before placing it into your cart.  On windy days, loose items can be blown right out of the truck hopper as the cart is being emptied.  This is especially important for small items like Styrofoam packing peanuts.

Proper cart placement helps us operate more efficiently.  Set all carts in the street, three feet apart from each other, and not on the sidewalk or curb.  Carts should be a foot or so out from the gutter so water can still flow unimpeded.  Make sure your carts are at least three feet from any parked cars.

Extra trash that exceeds the capacity of your cart must be bagged up with a $1.50 City trash stamp affixed.  Trash stamps can be purchased at local grocery, discount and convenience stores.  Bags cannot exceed 32 gallons and 50 pounds. Consider a larger cart if you regularly have extra trash. Call 962-2529 to order a cart.

Certain household products pose a hazard to human health and the environment or are problematic for landfill disposal, and should not be placed in the trash. This includes motor oil, cooking oil, batteries of all kinds, tires, cleaning products, degreasers, acids, solvents, pool chemicals, paint, pesticides, TVs, old computers and more.  Call 962-2529 for options to properly dispose of these wastes.

Except on your collection day, store carts and bins out of public view in a place like your garage or back/side-yard location behind a fence.
