Quick Reference Guide

The following materials can be mixed together and placed in your blue recycling cart:

  • Aluminum and steel cans…rinse
  • Metal paint and aerosol cans…ensure they are empty
  • Plastic containers #1-7…remove caps/lids and rinse; no bags, food trays or Styrofoam
  • Newspaper
  • Magazines and catalogs
  • Office paper and direct mail…no shredded paper
  • Paperboard…remove box liners and flatten
  • Phone books and softbound books
  • Corrugated cardboard…remove packing materials and flatten; cut down large pieces so they fit in cart

Shredded paper, hardbound books and paper milk/juice cartons are not accepted curbside; however, you may drop them off at the recycling center.  Click here to find out what other materials are accepted at the recycling center.

What about glass?  We encourage you to take your glass bottles and jars to one of six glass recycling drop-off centers in Loveland, as opposed to placing them in your blue cart.  Click on Glass Recycling to learn more.

When will my cart be emptied?  Recycling carts are emptied every other week on your regular service day.  Each household is either on the blue or green week schedule.  To determine your collection schedule, click here.

  •          Submit your address and click “Submit” and then “Create Report.”
