The City of Loveland operates three concrete replacement
programs.
City Code
(Chapter 12.20) states that
property owners are responsible for repair of adjacent
concrete curb, gutter and sidewalk. The city
participates in the following way:

Target Area Program |

The Street
Rehabilitation Program repairs damaged curb and gutter,
at no expense to the homeowner, when the street
has been identified for resurfacing or
reconstruction. These curb/gutter repairs are
recognized as having a serious drainage problem
which may cause water to pool and seep under the
pavement weakening the gravel base or soil beneath
the street. In some cases, it is necessary to
replace the sidewalk with the curb/gutter repair.

| Blanket Bid Program |

Through a Bid Process, the City hires a concrete
contractor. This contractor performs all concrete work
on City projects. They will
repair/replace city curbs and sidewalks, occasionally at private residences
under the Target Area Program. |

Sidewalk damage,
when it's a safety issue, is the
responsibility of the adjacent property owner.
If your
sidewalk requires repair and your street is within
the yearly Street Rehabilitation Program, a
registered letter will be sent in the late spring,
identifying the square footage of sidewalk to be
repaired and the maximum cost the City will
reimburse you.
There is a sixty (60) day grace
period after receipt of the letter to have the work
completed. If the sidewalk adjacent to your
property is identified as a safety issue and is
not
located within the yearly Street Rehabilitation,
there is a grace period of thirty (30) days upon
receipt of the letter. All sidewalk repairs
that are the responsibility of the property owner
will be marked with
PINK paint.
Commercial or rental properties do not qualify for
the 'Cost Share' program and are required to be
repaired at the property owner's expense.
